EAST Grinstead's 100 per cent record in the England Hockey League Premier Division is over after a 4-1 defeat at home to Wimbledon tonight (Saturday).
The Gladiators were beaten at Saint Hill as the Dons struck three times in the second half, bringing to an end the hosts' 100 per cent record so far this season.
Jack Waller gave the visitors the lead midway through the first half, but his opener was cancelled out soon after by Grinstead's Tony Wilson as the sides went in level at 1-1.
But goals from Phil Roper, Ali Brogdon and Henry Weir gave Wimbledon victory, as Grinstead dropped to third in the table, three points behind leaders Surbiton and one behind second-placed Beeston.
The Gladiators do, however, have a game in hand at home against Southgate next Saturday.
