Winner: David Grima took first place at the Kingston parkrun SP55465
Hercules Wimbledon's Athletic Club's marathon runner David Grima made a winning debut when he contested the Kingston parkrun on Saturday.
Grima headed home the 115-strong field in 18 minutes 28 seconds to win by 13 seconds.
It was only his second parkrun victory of the year - his only other success came when he headed home a 162-strong field at Killerton in Devon at the end of July in a faster 17:54.
He regularly competes in the Wimbledon Common event with his wife Claire, but in his six appearances this year his best placing was third, which he achieved in both May and October.
Hercules Wimbledon's Pete Clarke, 51, was a stunning winner of the Richmond Park parkrun where he smashed his previous best time in crossing the finishing line in 17:41 to head home the 341-strong field and post the top age-graded performance of the day.
It was his first appearance in the Richmond Park event for almost three years, and his time bettered his previous best of 18:26 achieved in January 2011.
It was also the first time he had won in Richmond Park where his previous highest placing was fourth in January 2011.
His only previous success in 13 parkrun appearances was on New Year's Eve in 2011 when he won in Old deer Park.
His performance in Richmond Park on Saturday was the second fastest 5km time recorded by a Hercules Wimbledon over-50 veteran - he was only five seconds off the record set by Dennis Williams in Hyde Park in 2000.
Hercules Wimbledon teenager Alex Lloyd-Jones was second in Richmond Park in 18:13 with another youngster Oscar White sixth in 18:52, just nine seconds lower than his best time, and teenager Jack Collins 10th in 19:09.
Teenager Zoe Illis was just six seconds slower than her personal best when she finished second in the women's event in the Wimbledon Common parkrun in 20:08.
She was one of 16 Hercules Wimbledon runners in the Wimbledon Common event where there were 344 finishers.
Peter Collins who was first in the veterans over-40 category in 18:38 was the top Hercules Wimbledon finisher.
Adam Harwood was 20th in 19:30 with Andrew Blake 26th in 19:53. Adam Fenton was fourth over-50 veteran in 20:10, with Charles Hampden-Smith fifth in that category in 20:38.
Over-55 woman veteran Anna Garnier posted the top age-graded performance with a time of 22:00. She was also eighth in the women's race.
Hercules Wimbledon's over-45 veteran Fenella Willis was the first woman finisher in the Pymmes Park parkrun in Edmonton.
It was a family outing for the Willis family who were competing at the north London venue for the first time.
Husband Thomas was 12th just ahead of their teenager son Joseph who was 13th.
The Purnell family were also out of London at the weekend and competed in the Brueton Park parkrun in Solihull.
Dad Jeremy clocked a personal best time of 19:11 in finishing 13th out of 211 runners. He sliced 25 seconds off his previous best time set on his debut appearance at Solihull on New Year's Eve in 2011.
His wife, Alison, also posted a personal best time of 21:31 in finishing 37th and fourth in the women's race.
She took 31 seconds off her previous best set on the final day of 2011. Their son Zac was 79th on his debut appearance in the event in 24:08.
Hercules Wimbledon's Stuart Fraser, below, was top veteran over 45 finisher in Bishop's Park, Fulham, where he was eighth out of 131 runners in 17:38.
It was his debut appearance in the event. Teenager Peter Riches posted a personal best of 19:54 in finishing 20th. He smashed his previous best time of 21:26 set the previous weekend.
Elsewhere, Fred Slemeck was the fastest member of the Hercules Wimbledon senior men's team, which competed in the English crosscountry relays at Mansfield for the first time on Saturday.
Slemeck clocked 16:54 with Alex Robinson (17:20), Rob Tuer (18:12) and Belal Aly (19:00) completing the quartet which finished 52nd of the 157 teams.
