Rodenstock launches 2014 Wimbledon collection


Rodenstock has launched its new Wimbledon eyewear collection for 2014, with 18 models for men and women.


This year's Wimbledon prescription sunglasses incorporate 'a variety of highly fashionable and classic styles,' according to Rodenstock, the eyewear's manufacturer. (Pictured is R9793A in gold/rose).


Practices stocking the new range will receive 'comprehensive marketing support' from the company as well as the chance to win tickets to the tennis championships this summer.


Marketing tools include an eye-catching 18-frame display stand, 2014 campaign posters and counter cards and patient mailers for direct marketing. There is also official 2014 retailer signage, customised spectacle cases and artwork for local advertising.


The 2014 Wimbledon portfolio boasts a choice of plastic plano, single vision and bifocal and varifocal lens options 'of the highest quality.' Opticians have the choice of thinner, lighter 1.6 mid index individualised lenses, which come with Solitaire Protect coating as standard.


The sunglasses also come with an authentic range of full or graduated tint choices, together with polarised options. There is no additional surcharge for shape-to-shape (minimum substance surfacing), prisms or outside the range, when technically possible.


Practitioners can join in the Wimbledon Rewards Promotion, which runs from January 30 to September 30. Each pair of sunglasses ordered is given points, the higher the value of the sunglasses, the higher the points.


Wimbledon Reward Points can be redeemed for a range of prizes at the end of the promotion, while the total number of points can be boosted by winning one of the marketing and sales categories - best Wimbledon window display, best marketing campaign, most Wimbledon sunglasses with polarised lenses sold, most Wimbledon sunglasses with high index lenses sold (1.6 index), and most Wimbledon sunglasses with Impression lenses sold.
