Bristol City wing-back Mark Little will almost certainly miss tomorrow's Johnstone's Paint Trophy third round tie against AFC Wimbledon at Ashton Gate.
Ruled out of last weekend's 2-1 FA Cup first round win at Gillingham with a hamstring strain, the summer signing from Peterborough United could be a doubt for Saturday's League One top-of-the-table clash with Swindon Town at the County Ground.
Scott Wagstaff deputised for Little against Gillingham and ran himself into the ground before succumbing to cramp and being substituted in the second half.
Robins boss Steve Cotterill will not want to put Little at risk and will be hoping Wagstaff recovers in time to face League Two Wimbledon tomorrow.
Cotterill explained: 'Leaving Mark Little out against Gillingham was not a precaution. He would definitely not have made the game anyway.
'The next 48 hours will be quite important for him and we will have to wait and see how he is.'
Cotterill made five changes to his starting line-up at Priestfield on Saturday and is again expected to utilise his squad for the visit of Wimbledon.
Strikers Aaron Wilbraham and Wes Burns are expected to feature tomorrow, while defender Derrick Williams and midfielder Korey Smith could come back into the frame.
With Saturday's M4 derby against Swindon looming large, City's manager may take the opportunity to rest key players such as Wade Elliott, Luke Freeman, Luke Ayling and Kieran Agard.
